Biographical Note for Iglesia Menonite Hispana : The Iglesia Menonita Hispana was founded in the early 2000s in response to the denominational merger between the (Old) Mennonite Church and the General Conference Mennonite Church in 2001.  Hispanic Mennonite organizations associated with the two denominations that merged, AMIGA and the Hispanic Mennonite Convention, formed a single organization called Iglesia Menonita Hispana.  The Iglesia Menonite Hispana represents the interests of Latino Mennonites and Mennonite ministries to Latinos.
