Brief Description: Outgoing correpondence, photographs (slides) and miscellaneous material documenting Beyler's Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) service in India and China.  Beyler's letters are quite descriptive and frequent, making them an excellent source of information about MCC"s brief presence in post World War II China.  Over half of the slides are well-labeled.

Biographical Note for Beyler, Clayton (1918-1973) :

Clayton Beyler was born in Harper, Kansas in 1918.  He was ordained to the ministry in 1944 and served with Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) in India and China in the mid 1940s.

He served as Dean of Instruction of Hesston College (Kansas).
