Biographical Note for Eicher, William R. (1889-1959) :

William R. Eicher was born in 1889 in Milford, Nebraska and married Lydia A. Stahley in 1913.  Eicher was, by occupation, a farmer.   

Eicher was ordained a deacon at West Fairview in 1915.  He was then ordained minister in 1916 and bishop in 1932.  He served as minster to a number of Mennonite churches in the Iowa-Nebraska Conference.  He also served as secretary of the Iowa Mennonite Conference for 20 years.

Eicher died of a heart condition in 1959.
