Historical Note:

Roy R. Miller was born June 5, 1906 in Berlin, Ohio (Holmes County), the son of William M. Miller and the grandson of Moses (Gross Mose) Miller (the first bishop of Walnut Creek Mennonite Church).  He attended Kent State College, graduating in 1933, and pursued a career in teaching and education administration.  He worked at a number of Ohio schools, including Troyer Ridge, Berlin High School, Berlin Local Schools, East Holmes Local Schools, and Hiland High School.

Miller was also a leader in the Berlin Mennonite Church and a collector of material relating to Holmes County, Ohio and Amish - Mennonite history.
