Historical Note:

Lois Litwiller Buckwalter was one of five children born to Nelson and Ada Ramseyer Litwiller.  The Litwillers were leaders in Mennonite mission work in Latin America, serving the Mennonite Board of Missions in Argentina for 31years (1925-1956).

Lois Litwiller and Albert Buckwalter were married in 1947 and devoted their entire careers to serving the Mennonite Board of Missions in Argentina.  The Buckwalters distinguished themselves as linguists, translating  the scriptures into three indigenous languages.
