Historical Note:

Born 22 June 1895, Inman, Kansas. Parents Abraham P. Neufeld and Helena Toews Neufeld.

Attended Bethel Academy.

Drafted and court-martialed in World War I. Served six months in military prison at Leavenworth.

Worked as a carpenter in the Inman area, and at the Oklahoma and Montana mission stations.

Moved to Chicago in 1920 to study architecture. Graduated from Chicago Technical College.

Married Catherine Wiens 28 May 1922 in Chicago.

Worked for Chicago Technical College and Methodist Bureau of Church Architecture until 1932. Then had an egg business. 1944-46 worked for American Leprosy Missions. 1946-56 business manager for Mennonite Biblical Seminary.

Attended Bethany Biblical Seminary.

Ordainted 23 Feb 1936. Became pastor of Grace Mennonite Church 10 January 1937.

Died 13 July 1961 in Chicago.
